Singlewell Primary School

Head Boy & Head Girl

Meet Seve and Mia our Head Boy and Head Girl!

They are very responsible Year 6 pupils who were elected to be Singlewell's first Head Pupils.

At Singlewell, it is essential to teach our Year 6s that as the oldest in school, they are role models to the other children and therefore are first in line to certain responsibilities.

We wanted Head Pupils who would embody our CARES values at all times.

All Year 6 pupils received a description of what the role of Head Pupil involves and had the opportunity to apply. Many pupils wrote their applications, which all staff viewed and shortlisted nine finalists collaboratively. The nine finalists then presented why they would be best suited for the role in large assemblies and the children voted for who they wanted to be led by.

Mia: "I really enjoy showing visitors around because I am very proud of my school"

Seve: "I like being a part of the assemblies and having an important role in our school"
