Singlewell Primary School
Personal Development
At Singlewell, our curriculum provides for learners' broader development. As well as academic development, it is essential that children are given pathways, through the curriculum and beyond, for personal development. We have carefully planned our wider experiences to provide plentiful opportunities to enable our children to discover their interests and talents while teaching them how to engage with society. We want our children to develop their resilience, confidence and independence and leave Primary School feeling empowered to achieve their goals and ambitions.
Our aim is to teach children how to navigate through life safely, happily and healthily (physically and mentally). Children are growing up in a world that is constantly changing and it is the duty of all the staff at Singlewell, in partnership with the parents, to teach the children transferable life skills. We teach children about the world around them, relationships, emotions, and health, as well as transferable skills to help with life.
