Singlewell Primary School
Science Week 2026
Primary schools celebrate Science Week to inspire curiosity, encourage a love of learning, and help children see how science connects to the world around them. It gives pupils the chance to explore ideas in a fun, hands-on way that goes beyond the usual classroom routine. During the week, we took part in exciting activities like DIY rocket launches, where we learned about forces and motion, and bubble making, which helped us explore shapes and surface tension & a spectacular visit from the Wonderdome helping us to explore the phenomenon that is space! We also joined interactive online workshops that introduced us to real scientists and fascinating experiments. These experiences made science feel exciting and accessible, helping us build confidence, creativity, and a deeper curiosity in how things work.
