Children & staff at the Singlewell school arrived with huge smiles and colourful costumes to celebrate World Book Day 2026. Many dressed up as their favourite story characters, from brave wizards and adventurous explorers to magical creatures from well-loved books.

A wonderful parade took place on the school playground first thing in the morning & classrooms were filled with excitement as teachers organised storytelling sessions, book quizzes, and reading circles where pupils shared their favourite stories with friends.  Throughout the day, the celebration helped inspire a love of reading, showing how stories can spark imagination and bring the whole school community together.

                         The Wizard of Oz was brought to life by some of our teaching team!
