London Mini Marathon 2025!
A group of enthusiastic children from Years 2-6 proudly represented Singlewell Primary School in the 1-mile challenge through the heart of London. The Mini Marathon gave them the incredible opportunity to run on part of the official London Marathon route, cheered on by the crowds and soaking in the electric atmosphere.
Every one of our runners crossed the finish line with smiles, medals, and a strong sense of achievement.
Highlights included:
• Fantastic support from family and friends along the route
• Great sportsmanship among our pupils
• A visit to some iconic London landmarks
• Everyone bringing home a well-deserved medal!
We would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff and parents who supported the the children and helped with transport and supervision on the day. A special mention to those who went the extra mile and raised money for special charities!
We are incredibly proud of all our young runners – they’ve shown just what can be achieved with enthusiasm and perseverance. We hope this inspires them (and others) to keep active and maybe even take on more running challenges in the future.
Well done, Team Singlewell!
What a fantastic event to be a part of!
Our Key Stage 2 children travelled to London with their families, Mr Roe and Mrs Catt. We were all very excited about taking part as the atmosphere was electric with music and cheering. We had a warm-up directed by Joe Wickes, then we lined up in our pen ready to go.
We sprinted off and all the children made it to the finish line with smiles on their faces!
We were all incredibly proud of this momentous achievement and presented our medals in assembly!
